The KISoLL project started in October 2006 with the aim to improve research and technological development (RTD) in the regions. Eleven partners, mainly located in rural areas, represent four regions involved in KISoLL project. Three fields of interests were selected for carry out local strategies:
- renewable energy
- broadband communication
- tourism.
Furthermore the KISoLL project provides a better foresight for decision makers and stakeholders; develops guidance and tools (including systems for exchange of RTD related information and experience); will strengthen the role of RTD in existing regional and local development strategies and creates an exchange of transnational and transregional experiences.
